Q: Can MILITEC -1 damage engines or other machinery?
A: No, it contains neither solid particles nor harmful chemicals.
Q: Isn't MILITEC-1 just another oil additive?
A: NO, MILITEC-1 IS NOT AN OIL ADDITIVE AT ALL, IT IS AN OIL BASED
METAL CONDITIONER
Q: If MILITEC-1 is not an oil additive, why is it added to oil!!??
A: As explained on this website, MILITEC-1 is added to regular lubricating oils, where
they are present, as a means of reaching hot metal surfaces that lubricating oils are in
contact with. Most oil additives mix with and modify oils in some way, adding chemicals
to them and often causing undesirable consequences, whereas all the Militec-1 is
completely used up very quickly if it is added in the correct quantity (see Application
Instructions) and does not affect the oil. (Refer to the Siemen's Corp., BP & South West
Research Institute's test reports on this website).
Q: How does MILITEC -1 work?
A: When it contacts metal surfaces at temperatures above 65° C, it forms a molecular
"adsorbed" layer that bonds with, and has a lower coefficient of friction than, the basic
metal. Lower friction reduces working temperatures, causes less wear, and mechanisms
can continue functioning for some time in the absence of coolant and lubricating oils,
mostly without serious residual damage.
Q: Doesn't the adsorbed surface wear away?
A: Yes, in time it does. In fact, the adsorbed surface is defined as being "sacrificial", ie, it
is expected to wear away. When the adsorbed surface has been sacrificed it is necessary
to reapply MILITEC -1. In car engines, for example, this may be needed at about 25,000
kilometer intervals.
Q: Can MILITEC -1 be applied at any time during a mechanism's life cycle?
A: Yes. It is not necessary to apply i only at normal service intervals.
Q: Does this mean that it can be applied immediately before an oil change?
A: Yes, provided as the engine is run for an hour or so after the Militec-1 has been added.
Q: Can MILITEC -1 be used in brand new engines and other systems?
A: Yes
Q: How can MILITEC -1 be used in mechanical systems that don't operate at
sustained temperatures above 66°?
A: Individual components can be treated by immersing them in a bath of MILITEC -1
that is heated to the required temperature for an hour or more. After treatment, residual
MILITEC-1 can be wiped off the metal surfaces as components leave the bath. Metal
parts treated in this way, including parts of firearms, are sometimes described as "dry
lubricated".
Q: Does Militec-1 prevent metallic corrosion?
A: It does contain corrosion inhibitors
Q: What is in MILITEC -1?
A: MILITEC-1 is a chemically-reacted synthetic-based hydrocarbon derivative. At the
start of the manufacturing process, MILITEC-1 is composed of a blend of several
extreme pressure lubricants, natural anti-corrosion ingredients, extremely stable chlorate
esters, anti-wear components, and anti-oxidant compounds. This blend is then introduced
into a chemical reactor. When MILITEC-1 emerges from a proprietary chemical reaction
process, it is no longer a blend because it has been organically bound into a unique, pure,
uniform single substance. In its finished form, MILITEC-1 is completely stable, so it
does not require agitation before use.
Q: What is not in Militec-1?
A: Just as important as knowing what's in MILITEC-1 is knowing what isn't. MILITEC-1
does not contain chlorinated paraffins, PTFE, fluorine, solvents, carrier oils, viscosity
enhancers, metals, molybdenum disulfide, zinc, sulphur, graphite powders or other solids
commonly used in oil additives. It's also important to realize that MILITEC-1 is nonhazardous,
non-toxic, and non-combustible. It is so safe that MILITEC-1 is approved by
the U.S. Navy Medical Command for use aboard nuclear-powered submarines.
Q: Where is MILITEC -1 used?
A: MILITEC-1 can be used in all types of machinery. Typical uses include both twostroke
and four-stroke Diesel and petrol engines of all sizes; automotive and industrial
transmissions and differentials; compressors of all types including those for refrigeration;
assembly line speed reduction gears; heavy duty industrial gearboxes; electric motors;
pumps, etc. It is also an excellent cutting fluid for use when drilling, milling and turning
obdurate metals that normally blunt cutting tools quickly. From nuclear powered
submarines to dental drills, rock crushers to bicycles, air conditioners to sewing
machines, racing cars to excavating and drilling machinery, MILITEC-1 literally
improves operations wherever metallic components rub against each other. |
